In summary...

March is here! That means February and "Marriage Rocks!" has already come to an end. But, I still LOVE love, so I thought I'd share my concluding thoughts on the wonderful experience I had celebrating love last month.

1) I had so much fun with this! Thank you to all of the wonderful couples I spotlighted for sharing yourselves with us, and thank you to wonderful friends for reading and enjoying!
2) Love comes in so many beautiful different shapes, sizes, ways, times, and situations, and they are all beautiful.
3) When you look for the positive, you can find it EVERYWHERE. I knew at the beginning of the month that I was surrounded by hundreds of good people, but because I was consciously thinking of why I admire people around me, anywhere I would go I would see people and think, "I love them! They are wonderful because...." Over and over and over. Loved it!
4) I saw a lot of common themes in my 28 couples. A few of them...Time. Any type of time! Walmart, lunch, pillow talk, date nights, weekends away; any type of time spent with your spouse is well invested.
5) Communication. This was mentioned over and over again. It seems so obvious, and yet it is something we can all improve and will see immediate results whenever we do.
6) Physical Intimacy. From a kiss good bye to private moments shared, the unification and power it brings cannot be underestimated.
7) Self-Improvement. Loved the theme I saw of the desire and opportunity to become a better individual by being a part of team.
8) Spirituality. Highlighted by nearly all, and summed up best by one, "When two people try consistently to grow closer to God, they grow, inevitably, closer to each other."
9) There are SO many wonderful resources on marriage available to us today. I loved reading and studying to find teachings that can help me strengthen my marriage!

I know that we are all in different relationships in our lives. Whether marriage rocks for us or not, I know that we are all blessed in our lives by love. Love of a parent, love of a child, love of a friend, a spouse, a coworker, a pet. As we recognize the blessings in our lives that come from the love we share and receive, I hope that we can be more motivated to expand and deepen the relationships we are in. Reach out in more sincerity and love to those around you. Put your best foot forward as you strive to fill the world with a little more kindness and a lot more love. Look around you, find all of the wonderful examples in your life, and thank them. I believe marriage rocks, and I LOVE love.
