Brandon and Brooke Davies

Eric taught Brooke Hodson when I was pregnant with a little girl that needed a name. A few months later our baby was born and we named her Brooke, in part after Brooke Hodson! 5 years later, Brooke married Brandon on our Brooke's birthday! The two words that describe Brandon and Brooke are BEST FRIENDS! They represent the true friendship that can be had in a marriage. I also admire them because they've had to go with a few Plan B's in their marriage...but it never phases their positive outlook and determination to live the best life possible. They are hoping to adopt again, and they are such a wonderful couple! (Visit their blog at brookelovesthejazz.com or profile at adoption.com/lds.)

Why Marriage Rocks
What's one thing you love to talk about when you have nothing pressing to talk about?
Brandon: Home projects/DIY/ideas
Brooke: Future kids, what we'll do when we win $1,000,000 dollars
Tell us about a trial you have faced together and how you feel you were successful in overcoming it, or what you have learned during it.
Infertility & the Adoption Process: Lots of prayer & hanging in there; it helped a lot when we finally opened up to our family and a few close friends; going through it together helped; we learned (yet again ha ha) that life doesn't go how you plan! Life changes & we wouldn't change it for the world! We are better people from our trials and have THE coolest kid because of those trials
What are advantages of marriage?
A forever teammate; growing and learning together; love that grows and changes in a great way; Also.... because Brooke teaches high school: you don't have to ask people out using creative ideas or go on 12 hour long dates with someone you just met ha ha ha.
What blessings have come into your life because of marriage?
ABIGAIL MICHELLE DAVIES!!! :) . Also..... even with harder difficulties, life is easier because we have each other, even when we may be struggling in marriage or with challenges, we can always go back to our foundation and work to over come those challenges.
What miracles have you experienced together?
Again... Abigail Michelle Davies! And in a candid sense, we made it through our first year of marriage! It was REALLY difficult and there were times we weren't sure we'd make it! But we both worked hard, had some outside people that helped support us, and God watched over us to help us make it.
