In summary...

March is here! That means February and "Marriage Rocks!" has already come to an end. But, I still LOVE love, so I thought I'd share my concluding thoughts on the wonderful experience I had celebrating love last month. 1) I had so much fun with this! Thank you to all of the wonderful couples I spotlighted for sharing yourselves with us, and thank you to wonderful friends for reading and enjoying! 2) Love comes in so many beautiful different shapes, sizes, ways, times, and situations, and they are all beautiful. 3) When you look for the positive, you can find it EVERYWHERE. I knew at the beginning of the month that I was surrounded by hundreds of good people, but because I was consciously thinking of why I admire people around me, anywhere I would go I would see people and think, "I love them! They are wonderful because...." Over and over and over. Loved it! 4) I saw a lot of common themes in my 28 couples. A few of them...Time. Any type of t...

Brian and Kelli Barton

Image
Happy Birthday to President Barton today! The first time I met the Bartons we sat with them at a luncheon. My husband already knew them, so their reputation proceeded them as warm, friendly and personable people. It was all true! In our conversation, I loved how Brian focused on Kelli; praised her, adored her, and cared for her. I feel like that trait has remained the same since that luncheon! Brian and Kelli know how successful teams operate, and that's evidenced in their marriage! The dates and details! Welcome to February and "Marriage Rocks!": A social media celebration

February may be the littlest month, but for me it is the biggest month of love! To celebrate all the joy that love has brought into my life, I am going to spotlight 28 couples that I look up to and admire. I will share what I love about the couple, on Facebook I am spotlighting some interesting tidbits and pieces of advice from the couple themselves (this blog will have their full questionnaire!) and then include a little pearl of advice from a higher source of learning than myself. I hope that by doing this I can help share the good that is in the world. I want to spotlight all the different types of happy that exist in the world. I hope to inspire confidence in the days and relationships ahead. And maybe, those who enjoy these spotlights can take one or two little things away from it that can impact their own relationships in a big way. Happy February!

Ron and Judy Hamblin

Cutest song and poem that Ron and Judy wrote to each other for their 50th wedding anniversary!! Ron and Judy are working on their 52nd year of marriage! They are such a good match for each other. I hope that after I have been married for 50 years I am as beautiful as Judy. I think that her beauty has remained so prominently because of the love and adoration Ron has shown her during their life together. Another thing I admire about the Hamblins is their selfless investment in other people. They are always finding ways to give back! The dates and details! Michael and Dainia Abbott

I watched this romance blossom on the track many years ago, and I'm still cheering on Michael and Dainia! Something I love about the Abbotts is that 'in-laws' don't exist for them. They love and support and are equally a part of both of their families. They both come from awesome families, but I think it also shows how open, loving and invested they are. They are grounded and dedicated to their values and I love them. The dates and details! Brandon and Sharlene are just good people to the core. When we met, they were one stage in life ahead of me, and I just watched them and tried to learn as much as I could from the way they treated each other, served and worked as a team to have a joyful life. I also love hearing them sing together, how fun to share a talent and share it with others!  The dates and details!
